It was Gaby’s 4th trip to the finals and first in both 10 and 12 under division of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age-group in BF Home Paranaque. Gaby almost quit her quarterfinals match in the 10 under after suffering an injury good thing she manage to finish and won the match.
She encountered her most difficult match of the tournament in the semis of the 10 & under where she played more than 2 hours in defeating Juan Carlos Lapore 6-3, 6-3. The match started 5 p.m. and Gaby finished the game at 7:10 in the evening. She captured the 10 & under title by stopping giant killer Samuel Nuguit Jr. 6-0, 6-2 but Gaby failed to win the 12 & under title she lost in 3 tight sets 4-6,6-3,8-10 in the finals.
