This is my 3rd year to represent Lucena City in the annual Regional Meet STCAA. This year it was held here in my home town Lucena City and everybody here is expecting that I would win the Gold Medal.

My side of the draw is tough in the quarterfinals I faced Bacoor’s Steph Hanai last years champ in doubles I beat her 8-3, I advanced in the finals with an 8-5 win against Laguna’s Denise Bernardo another age-grouper she was supposed to be my toughest opponent after the win we celebrated our team was very happy we all thought that I would have an easy Gold medal match against Batangas an unknown player.
But sad to say the Batangas player spoiled our party as she took the gold medal in my hand via 8-3 win in the finals. By the way her name is Angelica Tombaga, losing to her was the hardest loss so far in my short tennis career. It’s a lesson learned for me and my Coach Daddy not to underestimate my opponent. I hope next year I would win the Gold and represent Lucena City in Palarong Pambansa.
