The LCTC age-group 2013 was held at the LCTC shell courts in Lucena City from April 10-14. This is Gaby’s home town tournament and is expected to win a title here, with pressure and expectations Gaby prove that she can handle it both by winning the 10 & under title over STACAA team mate Angelica Alcala 6-1, 6-1. It was Gaby’s 3rd finals appearance and first 10 & under title of the year.

After 4 days of grueling tennis action in Meadow Woods Tennis Club in Bacoor, Cavite where the 3rd Dunlop – Pinoyislands.com Age-group tournament is held Gaby made her second finals appearance of the year. She won via come from behind win against Cristy Sanoza in the semis of the 12 years & under category she was trailing 0-2 in the first set before adjusting her game and went on to win the match 6-3, 6-1.

Gaby fell short in the finals of the 10 under category she lost to the no. 1 seed Miguel Vicencio. She gave it all but cannot produce the brilliance she showed in upsetting the no. 2 seed Sebastian Lhuillier 6-1,5-7,10-6 in the semi-finals. Gaby has nothing left on her tank after giving it all in almost 2 hour battle in the semis, She has to play in the finals after just resting for more than an hour. Still we are very happy, This is Gaby’s first finals appearance in the 10 under category and also first finals in Manila. Her next tournament will the Dunlop-Pinoyislands.com age-group in Imus, Cavite.
